Newing College is one of the older communities on Binghamton's campus, but in 2011 it reopened with new buildings, co-recreational fields, and programming facilities. Newing is also the home of Newing Navy, one of the most popular and well-attended traditions in the spring.
The four buildings in Newing are located on east campus with easy access to the East Gym and turf field.
Rooms in Newing College
Newing College has four buildings, and each has key card access and a semi-private room style. Common bathrooms and lounges are on each floor. Kitchens and laundry are in each building.

Room Types
Newing College has corridor-style doubles where each room houses two students; each set of three rooms shares a bathroom (one of these bathrooms contains the shower, the other has the toilet, and both have a sink).
Room Sizes
Rooms are generally 12' x 15, but square footage varies slightly by room. We strongly recommend students wait to purchase carpeting until they arrive, so they know the exact floor measurements.

Newing College Council
Newing College Council is a student-led organization that governs the Newing residential community. We focus on providing students with opportunities to develop leadership attributes, foster friendly relationships among neighbors and enhance their collegiate experience through our student-run events.
We oversee all the hall governments, manage the Newing budget, plan and hold community-wide programs and work together with Newing Residential Life to enhance the on-campus living experience of all Newing residents.
