This program is offered in an online, asynchronous format. Courses are held in the fall, spring, and summer semesters to accommodate full-time and part-time students.
Our MSEd Special Education program offers learning and application of theoretical frameworks, laws, policies, and practices which are crucially relevant to the education and support of students with disabilities. Our program provides the knowledge, skills, and dispositions necessary to fulfill various special educator roles in today's schools and communities. There are opportunities for graduates of education programs to apply and deepen their professional learning in the field and link special education programs and services to the broader context of general education and social advocacy. Courses and fieldwork are designed to emphasize the skills and knowledge base to more effectively work with students with disabilities from diverse backgrounds.
