Harpur Faculty Mentoring Excellence Award
We are pleased to announce the establishment of the Harpur College Faculty Mentoring Excellence Award, which recognizes faculty members who demonstrate outstanding commitment to mentoring junior colleagues or to peer mentoring.
Effective mentoring plays a critical role in faculty success, retention, and professional growth. This award honors individuals whose mentorship has made a meaningful and sustained impact on the development, well-being, and career advancement of early-career faculty.
Nominations are invited from faculty, department chairs, and academic leaders by May 4!
Award recipients will be recognized for their exemplary mentoring practices, including guidance in teaching, research or creative activity, service, leadership development, and navigating institutional culture.
Details regarding eligibility, nomination materials, and selection criteria are outlined below. We encourage broad participation in recognizing the faculty who invest deeply in the success of others.

- Relationship to the nominee (e.g., mentee, colleague, chair)
Statement of mentoring excellence (~500 words) addressing the following:
