Fall Move-In 2026 Student Information 

Welcome to Residential Life at ¶¶Òõ¶ÌÊÓÆµ - your home away from home! Get ready for an exciting start with everything you need to know about arrival, check-in, parking, and settling into your new home.

Move-In Appointments

All students must schedule a move-in appointment day/time on the . 

  • New first-year and transfer student move-in: Friday, Aug. 14 through Saturday, Aug. 15 at your scheduled time
  • Returning student move-in: Saturday. Aug. 15 through Sunday, Aug. 16 at your scheduled time. 

You must arrive at your scheduled move-in day/time. Contact Residential Life with any issues.

It's easy to overestimate what you need to bring. Keep in mind there are items that are not allowed in the residence halls and other items that you may want to share with your roommates. Following this signage will allow us to quickly direct you to the correct area for unloading. 

Additionally, given our move-in operations, traditional GPS systems will not be accurate to the on-campus traffic patterns for the weekend. We ask that you stop using GPS once entering campus and instead use this that will direct you to your residence hall. 

Fall 2026 Move-In Process

The entire move-in process can take 1–2 hours. To provide our students and families the best service possible, students will select a move-in day and time between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. and must arrive during their designated time block.

What to do when you arrive on campus 

When you arrive on campus, be sure you have your ¶¶Òõ¶ÌÊÓÆµ ID card ready and available. If you don't have an ID card, log in to the for a housing QR code you can use. Display this code on your phone when you check in. 

Entrance for lower campus residents (College-in-the-Woods, Dickinson, Hinman, Mountainview, & Newing)

For those moving into College-in-the-Woods, Dickinson, Hinman, Mountainview, or Newing, use the main entrance at (off Vestal Parkway East/Route 434) and follow the signs to check in at your community building. 

Entrance for Apartments ¶¶Òõ¶ÌÊÓÆµ residents (Susquehanna & Hillside)

For those moving into the Apartments ¶¶Òõ¶ÌÊÓÆµ, enter campus at the Bunn Hill Road (West Access Road) entrance and proceed to your community's check-in location. Susquehanna residents will check in at Choconut 102. Hillside residents will check in at the Hillside Commons

Use this to help direct you to your residence hall. 

Unloading your belongings 

Once you have completed check-in, you will be instructed to unload belongings at a designated drop-off area and then move your car to a designated parking area. There will be big, green laundry carts available to load your belongings into. Ideally, the student will be checking in while someone is moving the car, and a third person is staying with the belongings. We will have staff and volunteers on hand to help.

B-Welcome Crew

Look for our B-Welcome Crew in the bright green T-shirts who volunteer to assist students and families during move-in. The crew will help load your belongings into green laundry carts to transport to your room.

Parking and transportation

After you unload, vehicles must be moved. Family vehicles may temporarily park in Lots M E or F. Due to lot closures for move-in, resident students must park in lots E, G1, H, ZZ north or ZZ south overnight. All 24-hour lots will reopen at 6 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 16. Residents must move their vehicles between 6 p.m. and midnight on Aug. 16 to a 24-hour lot.

blue buses will be transporting students/families between the parking lots and the residence halls. will offer service throughout the community. BC Transit will temporarily only be picking up and dropping off in parking lot C, in front of the Anderson Center, Friday, Aug. 14 through Sunday, Aug. 16.

If you have a disability and need assistance traveling across campus, look for any ¶¶Òõ¶ÌÊÓÆµ employee. They will direct you to the nearest assistance offering and resources. Use this that will direct you to your residence hall. 

Complete a Room Condition Report

Once you're in your room, you will need to submit an online as soon as possible. This documents the condition of the room and furniture at the time of move-in and is used to determine damage billing when a student moves out. It must be filled out correctly to ensure you will not be held responsible for a pre-existing condition in the room. Check with staff if you have problems submitting this report or need a computer.

What if I'm arriving late to campus?

If you need to arrive after Aug. 16 for any reason, please contact your community area office and make an appointment with them to arrive during business hours (Monday - Friday 9 a.m. - 4 p.m.). If you require an exception to that time frame, that will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis by the community area office.
