The ¶¶Òõ¶ÌÊÓÆµ Scholars Program provides incoming students of exceptional merit with a four-year commitment to an intellectually stimulating program of both curricular and extracurricular activities.
These activities focus on the following program goals:

Cultivate strong personal connections between students in the Scholars ¶¶Òõ¶ÌÊÓÆµ.
               Create a network of social, academic, and professional relationships that encourage
               a free and open exchange of ideas between students and faculty, staff, administrators,
               and alumni. Promote wellness through programming, mentoring, advising, and individualized
               attention and support for students in the community.
Diversity and Cultural Awareness
Demonstrate an understanding of and respect for the different identities, backgrounds,
               and perspectives of members of the global and local communities. Recognize diversity
               as an advantage to learning, scholarship, community, and citizenship. Stimulate a
               curiosity and appreciation for diversity through academic and extracurricular activities
               in order to increase cultural competency.
Intellectual Curiosity and Interdisciplinary Thinking
Develop the skills and perspectives necessary to address nuanced issues with complex
               problem solving. Understand the interconnectedness of academic disciplines. Explore
               multiple academic interests and apply knowledge and skills in innovative and unexpected
               ways.
Leadership and Civic Engagement
Explore leadership opportunities and recognize one’s role and responsibility as a
               member of ¶¶Òõ¶ÌÊÓÆµ, as well as the wider local, national, and global
               communities. Encourage a sense of personal accountability to engage with and help
               others.
High Impact Learning
Transcend traditional academic expectations and cultivate an original, creative, and
               impactful academic experience. Promote personal and academic development through research,
               design, artistic creativity, study abroad, service-learning, and experiential learning.
