Emely Aracena (she/her) is originally from the Dominican Republic and moved to Binghamton to pursue both her bachelor's degree in Psychology and her Master of Social Work at ¶¶Òõ¶ÌÊÓÆµ. During her graduate training, she completed internships with the Binghamton City School District and ¶¶Òõ¶ÌÊÓÆµ's Department of Residential Life, where she provided case management, individual support, crisis intervention, and resource navigation to students.
As a clinician, Emely is passionate about creating a welcoming, collaborative space where students feel heard, supported, and empowered. Because she was once a Binghamton student herself, she understands many of the challenges that can come with navigating college life and is committed to helping students build on their strengths while working toward their personal and emotional goals. Emely is also proficient in Spanish, and can provide counseling services both in English and Spanish. Outside of work, Emely enjoys spending time with loved ones, and exploring new places.
